Christian Louboutin Masterpiece

Iconic 15th Century Renaissance Portrait modeling for Christian Louboutin! The mix of Various Feminine Historic Figures, Louboutin & photographer Peter Lippman, lead to the creation of  a Masterpiece called “The Power Of Femininity” to showcase the new A/W'11 collection. What genius!
Each shot celebrates 'The Power of Femininity', embodying the spirit of the Christian Louboutin’s woman through various historic figures.

From Georges de la Tour’s “Magdalene and the Flame” to Jean-Marc Nattier portraits, the images pay homage to art masterpieces with a contemporary twist.

La Prairie “Bouquet de Jardin”

La Prairie, teamed up with makeup artist, Rachel Wade, for its first color collection, “Bouquet de Jardin,” a bouquet of colour wrapped in luxury. Inspired by the gorgeous, bold peonies blooming in Brooklyn Botanical Garden, La Prairie Colour Ambassador, Wade, created the perfect canvas of colour for its Summer 2011 collection.
Some of the key components of the collection are its: Cellular Treatment Eye Colour Ensemble, Cellular Radiance Cream Blush, a silver compact filled with long-wearing, non-drying cheek color, an item I sampled and loved! Also, are Luxe Eye and Lip Definers.
Both CHEEK TO CHIC (Rachel Wade) and La Prairie share the same philosophy that clean, beautiful makeup begins with gorgeous skin, no matter what your age. I’ve sampled these colours and love the warm glow and soft, subtle beauty on my skin!

Tips from Rachel for how to manage your makeup bag and what tricks to use for summer makeup application:
  • Cream blush is actually better in the summer weather, even though it seems counterintuitive. Heavy powders get sludgy and clumpy when you sweat.
  • Mix textures whenever possible. For example, use a cream blush, then brush a powder bronzer lightly over everything. Keep all powders fairly translucent and mattifying. Again, sludge on your face is not attractive.
  • Balance out your shimmer. If you’re doing a shimmery eye, do matte lips. This is especially important for brides to prevent your face from looking really sparkly in pictures.
  • Don’t use waterproof mascara. According to Raychel, an eye doctor did a study of eyelashes and could detect mascara on the lashes that had been applied six weeks earlier. Eww.
  • Biggest makeup bag mistakes? When you carry three of the same color of anything, like three lip glosses in the same shade from different brands. Carry a neutral and a pop of color, so you’re ready for any occasion.
  • Never use or buy anything you don’t absolutely love.

Vacation Chic in a PLUS size!

Size doesn't matter for a Chic gateway, even though we are in a XS world!
We spend half of our mornings trying on outfits, modeling in front of the mirror before setting on one. That's probably related to our fashion moods but also in some cases when our size is slightly bigger.
I've worn a killer pair of skinny jeans on Sunday and found out that they wouldn't zip on Tuesday!
Many over sized girls worry about packing the right clothes for sunny short vacations; because I travel a lot I have learned that flexible wardrobe in a gateway is a must.
Shorts and Tanks are my faves, doesn't matter your size the mix looks good, basically for Plus size look up for shorts that are wide on the thighs, 15cm above the knees, for a slimming effect try dark colors if you don't wana wear black and you think it is too dark for the beach try navy instead witch is equally slimming, as for the tank stick to wide shoulders straps, 1 color, no patterns. You can accessorize with summer colorful summer scarves or a long playful neckless.

Do not forget the Beach Dress, you can throw it over your swimsuit ( SWS preferably one piece, it's the latest trend anyway) for a lazy afternoon or a glam lunch on the pool. Believe me and I guess my friends know that this is my beloved style, there is nothing as chic as a long, flowy sundress, again if you are an XL go for tuned down colors patterned dresses or one color fabric, strapless with a light scarf. I can assure you a very Sexy look!
Make sure to pack your Day to Night Dress, perfect for late afternoon shopping and sightseeing and just what you need to check in to a decent restaurant for dinner. Look for a straight A line dress with solid fabric, knee length  you can add a belt or a cardigan, as for accessories go for a wild choice, and do not match the colors ( choose another color palette)
The Bag! you need 2 bags for the whole trip, a clutch and a big statement tote...
The Shoes... flip flops or sandals choose metallic colors for a glam look, and take with you only one pair of high heels!

Bon Voyage! and don't forget to send your pictures

The "IT" Scarf

It’s definitely about the"IT" Scarf ! Think Jackie O.
Or, more precisely, a flurry of “IT” scarves, Missoni, Etro, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen & of course the eternal CarrĂ© d'Hermes.
However, it is not only the variation range of motif scarf  but the way it is wrapped around the neck to make it look more stylish. Donna Karan is inspired by the use of scarves a la Jackie O;closely wrapped around the neck and letting loose ends free in the back, but my fave style with Jeans or Dress is when the scarf is folded to form a triangle and tied from the back with the ends front side.

Scarves can be combined with feminine dresses, a shirt and blazer suit casual or as a decoration style in a casual Tee and matching capri pants, Swim suits, shorts....everything!
Long and draped or short and easily tucked in at the neckline, lightweight summer scarves are a must-have item this season. A scarfs spices up your outfits & changes the whole look, for example adding a different scarf to an LBD or a tee, changes the look completely, I would say if you try to wear the same dress, many times with different scarves ; style and motif it is equal to wearing different dresses. One of the looks am really hooked to during this period is the white T with Beige shorts and very verrrrry long scarf , the Stella Mccartney's in the picture below.
I would say invest in 2 designer's scarves this summer, different styles a square shape and a long one. Always make sure to check scarves in vintage or smaller boutiques for variety... and never throw out an old scarf...
