Elie Saab Couture Paris Spring-Summer-2012

The long flowing skirt--Saab’s expertise in addition to that this season shorter skirts and more lace. The skirts, several inches above the knee, looked, in white and yellow lace, silver beaded blouses, in a pastel embroidered with crystalized tulle flowers, the effect is sweet, upbeat and virginal, it is even more see through than seasons past because of both the slightly slimmer line of the dress and the pattern in which the embroidery is sewn. Sparkling crystalized tulle flowers tattoo the bodice and the pastel colours are as sweet as an angelic garden. Along with the tone-on-tone embroidery, these give a less crafty and lighter feeling compared to recent couture collections.
Saab gets a little imaginative in a pink dress with strips of silk sewn into tulle to form a fence, with flowers wrapping around like a vine to cover the breats, a faded mint see-through dress with vines that cap sharp shoulders have that look-at-me touch to turn any society princess into a steamy royal.( pictures below)
